We are thrilled to announce that Puketapu School has been selected as the winner of the Mitre 10 MEGA New Plymouth Helping Hands Community Working Bee!
After an incredible show of support from our school and wider community, our vision of creating a new community garden received the most votes, earning us the opportunity to work alongside the Mitre 10 MEGA Helping Hands team to bring this exciting project to life.
The response to the competition was overwhelming, with all three finalist schools receiving fantastic community support. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to vote for Puketapu School. Your support has helped make this opportunity possible.
The new community garden will become a valuable learning space for our students, providing opportunities to develop practical gardening skills, learn about sustainability, and strengthen connections with our local community.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to Mitre 10 MEGA New Plymouth for creating this wonderful initiative and investing in local schools. Their generosity and commitment to supporting community projects will have a lasting impact on our kura.
