Today, we officially opened our brand-new school Pump Track! After the school holidays and some rather nasty weather last week forced us to postpone our planned opening, we’re excited to finally celebrate this amazing project with our kura and wider community.
Our whole school came together to celebrate this exciting milestone and say a huge thank you to Downer NZ, New Plymouth District Council (NPDC), and our amazing Home & School parents for their support and contributions in bringing this fantastic project to life!
A fully upgraded pump track is something that would normally sit well outside a school’s budget, so we are incredibly grateful for the support and generosity that has made this possible. Projects like this make such a positive difference to our tamariki and our community.
We have some very happy tamariki at Puketapu School! The new track provides another exciting opportunity for our students to get active, challenge themselves, build confidence and enjoy time together. Even better, the wider community can also enjoy this fantastic facility outside of school hours.
We’re looking forward to seeing our tamariki make the most of this awesome new space, and we can’t wait to see the smiles, skills and memories that come from it!
A massive thank you to Downer NZ and NPDC for supporting our kura and helping create something special for our tamariki and community. We really appreciate the work you do to support projects like this across our district.
