🌟 Puketapu School at NYLD 2026! 🌟
In week 7, our student leaders travelled to Palmerston North to attend National Young Leaders Day (NYLD) 2026.
Throughout the day, we listened to lots of inspiring speakers who shared their stories and gave us advice about being good leaders. We learned that leadership is not just about being in charge – it’s about helping others, showing kindness, being confident, and believing in yourself.
One of the best parts of the day was hearing from people who had achieved amazing things and learning how they overcame challenges to reach their goals. Their stories inspired us to step outside our comfort zones and try new things.
We came away with lots of ideas that we can use at school and in our community. We are excited to put what we learned into action and continue being positive role models for younger students.
We are very grateful for the opportunity to attend NYLD and would like to thank everyone who helped make the trip possible.
