Mānawatia a Puanga

🌌 Mānawatia a Matariki ✨ Mānawatia a Puanga 🌌

In Aotearoa, Matariki signals the begining of the Māori New Year. However, in some locations including Taranaki, Puanga is celebrated because Matariki sits low in the eastern horizon and is therefore not always visible.

Today we hope you enjoyed time with your whānau and celebrated Matariki by:

🌟Remembering the past

🌟 Celebrating the present

🌟 Looking to the future

The below photo of our Principal Mrs Pascoe (pointing towards Puanga), was taken on Thursday morning at our Kura as we celebrated Puanga together.

Thanks Whaea Micaela for the beautiful photo. We will have more photos to share over the coming week from our celebration at school.
