We had an awesome team from Puketapu School this year - 31 students took part in the Weetbix Tryathlon at Ngamotu Beach in New Plymouth.

We had an amazing time and did our school proud.

Thanks to all the parents for their support, and especially to Mrs Read for getting the school team started.

try5 Bike, swim and run, it's hard work...

try3

try4 ... but everyone gets something to show for it...

weet2 and it's a great feeling to finish.

Well done to everyone who took part. Let's do it all again next year!

Mrs Gotz and these amazing Year 8s (and siblings) stuck with it for the long haul, walking from 10am-10pm in this year's Relay for Life. (All this after two long days at our marae and a triathlon during the week!)

This great event is in support of those who are survivors and for those sadly passed from cancer. Each one of these kids could relate to someone they knew who had passed or survived...so sad!

Watching the survivors lap it really shows, there is no age, gender or ethnicity to who it affects.

A huge shout out also to the parents, staff , Board members and ex pupils who came to support us and to see how we were doing in the rain. It was appreciated and added to the laughs!!

Puketapu School will be holding a Car Boot Stall and Market Day on Saturday 1 April 2017.

This event is for people in our community to raise some money for themselves... or to shop and get some bargains! It is an event where the people of Bell Block can come along and grab some food and drink and catch up with neighbours.

The Taranaki Daily News has a great story and picture about us:

This morning two groups of our children took part in creative dance workshops run by Pagan from the Royal New Zealand Ballet. She certainly challenged our children and I know they had a lot of fun and even begged her to stay longer! Thanks to the PSG for subsidising this event and to Northpoint Church for allowing us to use their hall.
