Te Rā o Tumeke Tumuaki – Principal Appreciation Day
Today, we celebrate Te Rā o Tumeke Tumuaki – Principal Appreciation Day. This special day was established by the Principals’ Council of NZEI Te Riu Roa in 2022 to recognise and celebrate the outstanding contributions principals make to education.
Te Rā o Tumeke Tumuaki highlights and acknowledges the unique strengths and contributions that principals bring to our kura and the mahi they do every day.
At Puketapu School, we are incredibly fortunate to have a dedicated leadership team guiding us. Our Principal, Katherine Pascoe, along with Deputy Principals Amanda O’Dowda and Micaela Westrupp, provide support and commitment to our school, our tamariki, our staff, and our community.
Today our tamariki and kaiako showed Kia Manawanui to our Principals by making cards, sharing what they love about them, singing songs and there may have even been some yummy gifts.
