We are seeking someone who:
- Shows our school values (Kia Māia, Kia Manawanui, Kia Kaha, Kia Ora) in their daily lives
- Is able to foster genuine relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Is skilled in growing and developing team members’ strengths
- Brings the curriculum alive through the use of play, literacy, te reo Māori, the Arts, music, sport, and digital technologies.
- May have experience with or are interested in integrated curriculum
- Collaborates with other teachers to personalise the learning for all ākonga
- Is passionate about taking the learning outside of the classroom
- Has excellent empowerment, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
- Is a team player who contribute to all aspects of life at our kura
- Is innovative, follows evidence based practices and is willing to try new ways of approaching education.
Position start: Term 2 – as soon as possible (negotiable).
This role is for an experienced teacher with proven excellent leadership skills who will work alongside another deputy principal. Includes two days teaching per week. Responsibilities and management units to be negotiated. Start date to be negotiated.
