This morning we warmly welcomed our new ākonga, whānau and staff with a mihi whakatau 🌿
Thank you to our presiding member Paora Rauputu, Matua Phil and our Principal Katherine Pascoe for your kōrero and for helping us begin the year in such a meaningful way.
After the formalities, a special part of our process is gifting a hebe plant to each new whānau 🌱. This plant connects to our cultural narrative and symbolises growth — growing alongside us as we nurture and grow your tamariki over their journey at Puketapu School 💚.
It has been so lovely to see our school filled with smiling faces, reconnecting friendships and a real buzz of excitement as everyone returns for 2026 😊✨
We are incredibly excited to have all of our people back together again.
