Friday Fun at Puketapu! 💙💛❤️💚
Last Friday was certainly a busy one and what a fantastic day it turned out to be!
We were thrilled to finally hold our much-anticipated Tug o War Whānau Games. The weather kept us guessing with a quick shower just minutes before we began, but thankfully it passed as quickly as it arrived and we were able to carry on as planned.
It was awesome to see our tamariki proudly dressed in their whānau colours, showing determination, teamwork and our school values as they lined up ready to compete. There was plenty of cheering, laughter and competitive spirit on display!
Mr Lewis will announce the overall winning whānau to the school tomorrow but we can already reveal that in the much-talked-about Year 8 vs Teachers showdown… the Year 8s took the win!
To top off an already amazing day, we hosted our Community Picnic in the school playground. With the pool open, sausages sizzling on the BBQ, and ice blocks in hand, it was the perfect way to bring everyone together. It was so special to see our whānau and community connecting, relaxing, and enjoying time together.
A huge thank you to our Board of Trustees and our incredible school staff for making this event possible. We truly appreciate the time and effort that goes into creating these opportunities for our community.
Here are a few photos from a fantastic Friday! 📸
