Farewell Mrs O

By April 7, 2025No Comments
🌸 Farewell Mrs O – Ngā mihi nui, thank you for everything! 🌸
It’s Mrs O’s final week here at Puketapu School, and while we are so sad to see her go, we are also incredibly excited for her next big adventure – becoming the Principal of Lepperton School! How lucky are they to have her!
Last week, Mrs O was welcomed with a beautiful pōwhiri at Lepperton School, joined by some of our staff, our whakataetae kapa haka group, and some of her former students.
Amanda (Mrs O’Dowda) began her journey with us in 2019, with our Kauri team. She was Assistant Principal of the senior school before stepping into her Deputy Principal role in 2023, moving out of the classroom but continuing to make a huge impact across the school.
In 2023 & 2024, Amanda has proudly served as Puketapu School’s Kāhui Ako representative, showing her commitment to educational excellence and strengthening connections across our wider learning community.
Mrs O has formed strong, lasting relationships with our students, staff, whānau, and wider community. We will miss her dearly, but we know this isn’t goodbye – she will always be part of our Puketapu whānau and is welcome back any time, with a big smile waiting for her.
We will be farewelling Mrs O at our assembly on Friday 9.30am at Northpoint Baptist Church – NZ
Arohanui, Mrs O – thank you for everything 💛
