Tēnā koutou katoa.

My name is Meg Corin. I’m married to Pete and we have two current Puketapu students and one who graduated in 2021. Our children have thrived in their unique ways within the Puketapu School values framework.

I was born in Whanganui and grew-up between there and Palmerston North. I spent most of my adult life in Auckland and a couple of years in Newcastle, England. I’ve lived in some diverse communities and value the people and perspectives from each of these places I’ve called home.

Our whānau moved to Taranaki for work and new opportunities at the end of 2019. We are so grateful to have been embraced by such a supportive community in Bell Block through a couple of difficult and disruptive years.

I worked as a physiotherapist before retraining in early childhood education (ECE) when my children were very small. I worked in ECE for 8 years before our move to Taranaki. These days I do occasional relief teaching, work part-time in admin at Northpoint church, barista at Gather Container Cafe and am in my second year studying Te Reo Maori.

Our family is a part of Northpoint church where I help with our kids groups & Northpoint Youth. When I have downtime I love to be outdoors with my family.

Within our school community I coach hockey and volunteer at Breakfast Club. Where I can I volunteer with class and school events.
