Hayley Adams
Who am I?/Ko wai au?
My name is Hayley Adams. I have two children currently attending Puketapu school, one in Rimu and one in Totara, and a three year old who will enrol next year.
I was raised in Taranaki and my husband was a Bell Block local, who came to Puketapu School along with his siblings. That was a big draw for me when choosing this school and I have been an active, passionate member of the Puketapu whanau since.
In the six years we have lived in Bell Block I have made a huge effort to be involved in the community and organisations such as Bell Block Playgroup and Puketapu Kindergarten.
I love this community, and often get teased from my nephew about how I am ‘friends with everyone’ when walking in or out of the school grounds or at the local shops.
This year I have taken over the running of the Kickstart Breakfast Club, along with an amazing group of parents/grandparents. I am passionate about this as this can mean a better start to a child’s day – whether it be kai, or milo or just a friendly greeting (or a reminder to use manners).
Why do I want to be on the board/He aha te take e tū ai au hei mema mō te poari ?
I am running for the Board of Trustees this year because I love this school and I want to bring a positive, open minded and practical point of view to the table.
