🐾 A Message From Rocky 🐾

Hi everyone!

If you don’t know me yet… my name is Rocky 🐶 and this is my third year at Puketapu School. I’m Mrs Pascoe’s dog (she’s my mum 💙), and I take my job at school very seriously… even if I do it with a wagging tail!

I’m a handsome Huntaway cross, trained to therapy-level standards, which means I’m really good at spreading calm, comfort and the occasional slobbery smile 😊 I visit school regularly to help make days a little brighter.

One of my favourite things to do is play ball outside with students who might need a little breather from class. Sometimes a quick game of fetch and some fresh air is all it takes to reset and feel ready to learn again. I help them… and they help me too 🐾

I have some very special friends at Puketapu who take me for walks and make sure I get plenty of fresh air. They show great responsibility and kindness and I’m very proud of them.

Now… I probably shouldn’t say this… but my favourite teacher might just be Miss Sharrock. She may or may not sneak me a special treat in the staffroom from time to time 🤫 (I’m very good at sitting politely!)

A few important things about me:

  • I only bark on command (good boy status: achieved ✔️)

  • I LOVE cuddles 🤗

  • But if you don’t want me near you, that’s totally okay, I will stay away.

  • If you feel a little nervous around dogs, I understand. I promise I won’t come over unless you want me to.

Oh… and you might see me sharing the school grounds with Pablo, our local school cat 🐱. Between you and me, I’m probably more scared of Pablo than he is of me!

I like to stay close to my mum, Mrs Pascoe, but I also love being out and about with all of you. Being part of Puketapu School makes my tail wag every single week.

Thank you for welcoming me, patting me, playing with me, and being such kind humans. I think I might just be the luckiest school dog around ❤️🐾

Woof for now,
Rocky 🐶
