📣 Today’s assembly is done and dusted!
This morning’s assembly started off a little differently with our Year 8 leaders kicking things off with some awesome dancing on stage as everyone came in! As usual, we began with our karakia and the national anthem. A big shoutout to Summer and Dylan for doing a fantastic job hosting assembly once again and Quinn & Chayse behind the scenes.
We heard all the top stories from the week including Market Day, the Bake Sale and the PE Shed update. Our Cultural Leader, Hamuora Adams, shared some exciting upcoming whānau events to bring out a bit of healthy competition and announced that Pīwakawaka is currently in the lead!
Whaea Kelly got up to hand out spot prizes for the Taranaki Milk Top Challenge. A huge well done to the following students who went above and beyond collecting, cleaning and counting milk tops:
Channing Rajput, Carlos Macioce, James Terrill, Oliver Tancred, Enzo Ormsby, Harvey Thomson, Azalea Parkinson, James Smith, Tyler Kenny, Liliana Hodson, Freda Ly, Quinn Murrell, Kendall Perrett, Kupa Brider, Jack Pepperell, Kyran Lilly, Douglas McCormack, Zaiya Pomana, Addie Leathley, Briar Walthew, Avery Phillips and Ollie Hardy.
These tamariki all received a voucher to the Aquatic Centre as a prize, ka pai!
Whaea Kelly also reminded us about the awesome lunchtime clubs up and running, including Environmental Club, Games Club, Digital Club, and Lego & STEM Club. So many great ways to get involved during lunch!
