Our Production this year was "Gold Rush!"

What an amazing show! Well done to all our performers and huge thanks to Mrs Barron and the team who put it all together.

We had cowboys and can-can girls, cowboys, rustlers and even crazy chickens!

Wow what great racing we saw this year!

The weather may have not played well, but the competition, spirit, friendship and community support was brilliant!

Well done to all our runners, both in our school competitions and our representatives at competitions around Taranaki.

On Thursday 1 September we had a great day of professional learning for our staff and community with Nathan Mikaere Wallis.

One of New Zealand’s most knowledgeable and humorous speakers, this is the first time Nathan has come to Bell Block.

As well as a full day of learning for teachers from Puketapu and other schools around Taranaki, Puketapu School was delighted to offer a free evening event to our community, where Nathan spoke about brain development and solving some of life's mysteries about kids.

Puketapu School was delighted to host the Connected Learning Advisory regional support day in New Plymouth on Thursday 25th August. 40 educators from around the country came to our school to talk and learn about digital technologies and how we can all learn new ways, new tools and new ideas. We are all teachers and all leaners.

A group of Year 5 and Years 6 students took on the important task of keeping everyone well fed.

With the help of food tech teacher Claire Wigley, we baked pies, delicious brownie and made salads from vegetables grown in our school garden. We have learned a lot about food preparation, nutrition, portions and front-of-house skills. We had great fun and received lots of compliments!
